Hello!
Black Friday and holiday season marathon is officially underway 🛍️
I imagine your top priority is to dazzle your (future) customers with a journey that outshines your competitors', aiming to win their hearts... and their wallets 💸
To optimise your site and to stand out, AI can be your best ally 🤺
In this edition, co-written with Gautier from Dialog, we're sharing 4 tips (and a bonus prompt) to boost your customer journey and sales using AI 🧠
💡 What is Dialog?
It's a tool that uses artificial intelligence to analyse your e-commerce data. It helps you better understand your customers, guide them to their ideal products, and answers all their questions to increase your sales!

🔮 Offer a Seamless Navigation Right from the Home Page
Have you ever left a shop without buying anything because the choice was too overwhelming?
Well, the same phenomenon can occur on your e-commerce site.
47% of users leave a site without viewing a product page due to complex navigation or an overloaded product catalogue.
Fortunately, there are two effective ways to reduce this abandonment rate:
1️⃣ Add a Search Bar 🔎
After the logo, the search bar is one of the most viewed elements on an e-commerce site: users spend an average of 6.44 seconds on it (Source: Cashvertising Online by Drew Eric Whitman).
To make it even more effective, I recommend:
- Placing it prominently, horizontally at the top of the page.
- Left or right, it doesn't matter! The key is that it's visible in your header to capture attention immediately.
- Adding a catchy message and suggesting products to encourage your customers to type their query, just like NAILD does 💅🏻

2️⃣ Optimise It with an AI Assistant 🤖
Imagine offering your customers an online shopping experience as personalised as in-store, where a virtual assistant would always find the ideal product.
Spoiler alert: with generative AI, this is soon possible, and Dialog is on it 🤫
You'll soon be able to integrate an AI assistance button directly into your search bar or page.
In just a few questions, the AI can understand your user's needs and guide them to the perfectly suited product.
A bit like a wine merchant finding the perfect bottle or a bookseller guessing your next literary favourite! 🍷

🛒 Turn Your Product Page into a Personal Shopper
Did you know 87% of customers leave a product page because they couldn't find the right information? (Source: Gartner)
To reverse the trend, OhMyCream! is using Dialog's AI assistant to transform its French product pages into true beauty advisors 🧑🏼🔬
Just below the "Add to Basket" button, their customers immediately get answers to all their questions about the product without having to search!
The result? A smooth, personalised, and simply stunning shopping experience 🤩

🎁 Bonus: Gautier's ChatGPT Prompt to Analyse Your Product Page and Quickly Identify Missing Information
Enter: I am an e-commerce assistant specialising in conversion. Here is my product URL: [insert your URL]. Identify the questions that my content doesn't address which could prevent customers from purchasing, focusing on trust, perceived value, usage, and guarantees of my product.
Examples of questions ChatGPT might identify:
- What are the unique benefits of this product compared to competitors?
- Is this product suitable for my specific problem?
- Are there customer testimonials or case studies that prove its effectiveness?
🍪 Leverage AI to Enhance Your Post-Purchase Experience
You've probably noticed that third-party cookies are on the way out 🦕
Historically used to track user behaviour, major browsers have started blocking them to protect our privacy and personal data better.
This complicates things for marketers who now must focus on first-party data (purchases, preferences, interactions) to target their campaigns and analyse user behaviour.
In a future without third-party cookies, every piece of information collected is an invaluable treasure to personalise the customer experience 🏴☠️
For example, a tool like Dialog can help you collect valuable information about your users to personalise their experience later on. Like knowing they wear a size 8 shoes or dislike the colour pink 👟
At Bigblue, we focus on purchase information to offer a tailored tracking experience.
Like Unbottled, our clients can recommend up to five products directly from their order tracking page 🧼
Viewed on average four times per order, this page is a golden opportunity to easily generate qualified traffic back to your site and boost your repurchase rate.
