Get alerted before you run out of stock

New

Running out of a bestseller means lost sales, and finding out too late means lost customers. Now you can set inventory alerts that warn you before stock runs low, tuned to how each part of your catalogue actually sells.

Create as many alerts as you need. Each one watches a group of products you choose and emails the right people the moment stock is at risk. Every alert is built on one of two triggers:

  • Low stock: we alert you when available units drop below a number you set (set it to 0 to hear only about full stockouts).
  • Days of inventory remaining: we alert you when your current stock will run out within a set number of days, based on recent sales, so your fast sellers warn you earlier than slow ones.

Different products sell at different speeds, so one rule rarely fits everything. You choose which products each alert covers using their tags and supplier, which keeps things manageable as your catalogue grows and lets you target alerts three ways::

  • By product velocity: group products with tags (best sellers, medium sellers, slow sellers) and give each a different low-stock threshold, so a product only alerts you when it's genuinely at risk.
  • By supplier: set days-of-inventory alerts that match each supplier's lead time, the gap between placing an order and having stock back on the shelf.
  • By warehouse: create warehouse-specific alerts so each team tracks its own stock, with thresholds matched to how a product sells and restocks locally.

When a product crosses a threshold, the people you picked get an email and the product is flagged in your Inventory list, so you can reorder in time. To set one up: open your Inventory list → Alerts → name the alert and choose who's notified → pick the trigger → choose the products it covers
