Fees for exchanges and store credit
Returns cost you money even when the customer doesn't want a refund. Now you can charge a handling fee when a customer chooses an exchange or store credit in your return portal, and set that fee separately for each one. Until now fees mostly applied to refunds; this extends them to the other return outcomes.
The fee can vary by the customer's country, so you can reflect the fact that a return costs more from some markets than others. It's shown to the customer before they confirm their return, and taken automatically from the amount they receive, whether that's a refund, store credit, or exchange.
So you can nudge customers toward the outcomes you prefer while recovering part of the return cost, market by market. To set it up: add your exchange and store-credit fees, with any per-country overrides, in your return portal settings.
