Who is Nutripure's fulfilment partner?

Nutripure's fulfilment partner is Bigblue, the only European-native 3PL in the Shopify Trusted Fulfillment Network. Since October 2024, Bigblue has shipped Nutripure's parcels to individual customers, pallets to independent stores, and stock into Amazon, all from a Bigblue warehouse in Tigery, south of Paris.

What is Nutripure?

Nutripure is a French sports nutrition brand founded in late 2017 by Christophe Carrio, a five-time karate world champion, and his brother Florent Carrio, who serves as President through Nutripure Invest.

The company is headquartered near Toulouse and sells protein powders, amino acids, vitamins, and recovery products through its direct-to-consumer site, Amazon, and independent stores.

Florent Carrio shared on the Le Panier podcast that the business reached roughly 40 million euros in revenue. Trustpilot users rate Nutripure 4.8 out of 5 across more than 3,500 reviews. The brand also sponsors RC Toulon in the Top 14 rugby championship.

Why did Nutripure switch to Bigblue in 2024?

Nutripure's previous 3PL, Cubyn, went bankrupt on 1 September 2024. Merchants holding stock at Cubyn had to find a new partner and rebuild their supply chain in weeks.

Nutripure ran a formal 3PL selection through summer 2024.

On the Le Panier podcast, Florent Carrio set out his three rules for choosing a 3PL:

  1. Outsource so the team can stay focused on product
  2. Pick a partner with the same attention to detail as the brand itself
  3. Choose a partner that can scale

Cubyn's collapse also surfaced a criterion that often gets underweighted when brands pick a 3PL: financial durability. A large share of the 3PL market runs on a race-to-the-bottom playbook, pricing fulfilment below or at cost to win volume and burning investor money to cover the gap, betting on scale to one day turn profitable.

That model holds as long as the next funding round closes. When it doesn't, the provider goes into liquidation: the brand's stock is frozen inside the warehouse, refunds stall, and every euro tied up in inventory becomes a legal recovery problem rather than working capital.

Reliability, providing a best-in-class customer experience, financial health, and flexibility mattered more than the lowest price. Bigblue won on its track record of running operations for supplement and high-value brands, the breadth of its product portfolio, and the strength of its balance sheet.

How does Bigblue ship Nutripure's orders in France?

Bigblue routes Nutripure's French parcels through a multi-carrier setup, choosing the right network for each order based on weight, basket size, destination, and delivery speed. In France, pickup-point and locker delivery now accounts for close to 35% of e-commerce parcels (Fevad, 2024), and shoppers shift toward it whenever home-delivery prices rise.

At checkout, the shopper selects one of three options: home delivery in 1 or 2 working days, a Colissimo pickup point, or a Mondial Relay locker.

Bigblue's Voyager Transport Management System automatically selects the carrier and prints the label for every order. Nutripure can see live tracking in the Bigblue App. The shopper sees the same tracking on a Nutripure-branded page, and chooses a relay or locker at checkout through Bigblue Pickup Point.

The same Bigblue warehouse handles two non-D2C flows: pallets to independent stores, and stock pushes into Amazon FBA. Nutripure does not need to split inventory between two providers to serve those channels.

Pallets ship on Bigblue's B2B transport network rather than through the parcel carriers above.

How does Nutripure ship across Europe and handle returns?

In Spain, Nutripure ships from a warehouse in Marchamalo, near Madrid. Spanish orders ship domestically with Spanish carriers, not cross-border from France.

Beyond core European markets, Bigblue's network carries parcels to more than 190 destinations.

Returns come back to the same warehouse that shipped the order: French returns to Bigblue’s warehouse in Tigery, Spanish returns to Bigblue’s warehouse in Marchamalo. Bigblue checks each product, restocks anything that can be resold, and triggers the customer refund. The shopper gets the money back faster, and Nutripure sees the unit go back on sale instead of writing it off.

Sustainability is part of the transportation choice. Nutripure ships in paper and carton packaging with more than 50% recycled content, and contributes to Citeo, the French eco-organism that funds packaging collection and recycling. The carrier mix leans on pickup-point delivery because consolidating multiple parcels at a single relay cuts last-mile CO₂ per order.

Which Bigblue features does Nutripure use the most?

Nutripure uses Bigblue end to end: warehouse, transport, tracking, returns, retail, Amazon. Not just the warehouse piece. The pieces in daily use are:

  • One dashboard for the whole operation. The Bigblue App gives Nutripure a single view of orders, stock, and performance instead of juggling separate warehouse, carrier, and tracking tools.
  • No expired product reaches a customer. Bigblue's Atlas Warehouse Management System picks the oldest batch first, by best-before date, and pushes the exact batch number back into Nutripure's order data. If a batch is ever recalled, Nutripure knows in one click which orders carried it.
  • The right carrier is picked automatically, order by order. Bigblue's Voyager Transport Management System selects the right carrier for each parcel based on weight, basket size, destination, and delivery promise, then prints the label without manual handling.
  • The post-purchase experience stays on the Nutripure brand. Tracking is served through a Nutripure-branded page, not the carrier's, so the customer keeps interacting with the brand all the way to delivery.
  • End customers choose where their parcel goes. Bigblue Pickup Point at checkout lets shoppers pick a relay or locker close to home rather than being locked into home delivery.
  • One stock pool serves both online and retail customers. The same Bigblue warehouse prepares parcels for individual customers and pallets for independent retailers, removing the inventory split most 3PLs force.
